It has been a busy few days.  I'v been trying to sort out some of the kids' stuff ready for the move.  Its going to be difficult moving in to a smaller house but I keep telling myself its only for a short time (hopefully) and will be better for us with a lift for Xander.
We get the keys tomorrow- very exciting - and hopefully the carpet for Xander's room will be fitted tomorrow too.  We drove past today and could see that there were workmen in sorting out the kitchen, which is a relief.
Saturday sees the cleaners coming in and giving it a really good scrub - seeing this house makes me realise that actually I am cleaner and tidier than I thought!
We have booked Paul and his van for next week, Mum and Dad are taking the kids to their house for a few days so we can just focus on moving and not have to worry about them being safe, occupied and Xander looked after.
We have sorted out storage for outside - losing the bedroom and 2 reception rooms was going to be hard enough but to lose the garage as well was going to prove almost impossible!
I think Simon and I are really looking forward to moving though - hard work aside.  The end of private landlords can't come soon enough!  We were talking about the studio flat we had when we were students and how lovely our landlord had been  - Chris - and hadn't tried to withhold any deposit because of a few bumps due to 2 years of living there.  I know that even though we have looked after this house and will make sure it is pristine when we move out the people who own it will still try to rip us off regarding deposit.  Hopefully they will have nothing to try to claim for.

Not the most prolific blogger!

I think I would like to use a Blog more than I do.  It's just for me, no-one else and I think it may be therapeutic!

Not quite a regular blogger!

Now that I have a computer programmer in the family (Simon's change of direction!) and have a pretty Christmas background to my blog. It would seem to be a good idea to maybe use the blog for my ramblings - not even post to other people - and see how regularly I can add entries to it. Then maybe I can go public - not that there is anything of worth in my ramblings!

So.... I'm not too good at this then. I suppose it all takes time and to have the time to do anything decent, to remember and to have the energy all seem to ellude me! I'll try harder. Its not like anyone knows it is here! Its really for me at the moment - maybe when I get going I'll let people know about it!

I'll sleep when I die

After a night and a day of not much sleep from Dharma we didn't do too badly last night. i think everyone managed to get a good night. I think even Dharma and I managed to do the 3 o'clock feed in our sleep!
We're hoping to look for a car today that will be big enough for all Xander's equipment and to be able to go to Grandparents in comfort. I just could cope with a journey all the way to Mum and Dad's if we couldn't use the car as a cafe too!

Trying to move with the Times.

It seems to be the thing of the moment, to have a blog. I have seen a fair few, mainly belonging to crafters and love the inspiration and interesting things they impart. I don't suppose my blog will be like that, not for a long time - I'm not even sure I'll be able to post that often, but you never know, I may just be able to find somewhere that is mine, where I can ramble without getting a bored look from someone or maybe even not be interrupted. I may even get as advanced as adding photos or links but lets not be to hasty!
